I had taken a picture in Greece of a market place that I kept pulling out and studying. Thought it might be good in charcoal or pastels. Finally, I decided to try it with oils. I centered the market in the canvas and made the edges around it look out of focus. It gives it a watercolor feel. The big trick is not to overdo it! This one was fun to do and it’s amazing what happens when I just keep reminding myself “it’s just a canvas!”
