In the past few years we were so fortunate to visit dear friends on Martha’s Vineyard. What an interesting place that is. This painting was done with a picture I took when we were there. The clay in the sand has been eroded by the water so you see the beautiful colors in it and in the cliffs. I had wanted to paint this 4 years ago but just now took it on. I love the colors of the rocks and the ocean that rolled in to the beach. I used a new canvas a friend had given me to try. It has a lot of “tooth” to it so it grabbed the paint and hung on! I was pleased with the results and our friends loved it enough to buy it!
