This is a new abstract painting that I started without any inspiration in sight. It started out with royal blues, grays, and chocolate in it working around the canvas adding where I thought more color was needed. Eventually it changed to the cerulean blues with Davey’s gray and splashes of yellow and red in it. I used not only brushes but a pallet knife and finished with splattering the paint. It reminds me of what the Gulf Oil Spill could have looked like under water. A fascinating and visually moving piece of work.
